What makes Witto different

Four decisions we made up front

We do not flatter you

Plenty of apps inflate the result so you do not get upset and delete them. We show the real one — otherwise why measure at all.

Mistakes are the point

The difficulty adapts to you: slip up and it eases off, nail it and it steps up. Without mistakes we would not know where your limit is.

We do not invent tidy numbers

A single round number would look more convincing, but no one can pin down an exact brain age. So we show a range.

Five minutes, not two hours

A session is short and ends on its own. We do not invent reasons to keep you in the app longer.

What brain age means

Speed and memory usually decline with age.
We compare your results against that pattern and translate them into an age — the lower it is, the sharper you are.

  • How Witto looks in the app at the under 17 range under 17
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 18–24 range 18–24
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 25–32 range 25–32
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 33–40 range 33–40
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 41–48 range 41–48
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 49–57 range 49–57
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 58–67 range 58–67
  • How Witto looks in the app at the 68+ range 68+

Sharper Slower

Witto changes along with your result — the younger your brain, the younger he looks.

Fewer years, sharper mind

A younger brain works faster and makes fewer mistakes. That is why the result is measured in years: the lower the number, the sharper you are right now.

A range, not a single number

No test lands exactly on the mark — the result depends on sleep, time of day and mood. So we show the range you are in, not one good-looking figure.

Not a medical assessment.

Fifty exercises

Each one trains a different skill, with several rule variants and difficulty levels.

How the map is put together

Each module on the map trains its own skill: a few lessons, then a test at the end.

You can see the result of every test in your progress.

Questions

Why is a lower number better?

Because mind age is not your age — it is a reading of how fast and accurately you got through the tests, expressed in years. Being quick and accurate reads as a lower number, so 27–32 is a sharper result than 41–46. The goal is to bring the number down, not up.

What is a Lesson made of?

Four exercises in a row; one of them is a casual game. The fifth Lesson of a Module is the Challenge and has five, with the casual one last. The first Test, at the very beginning, is four.

Is this a medical or diagnostic tool?

No. Not a medical assessment. Witto is a training app built on well-known cognitive tasks; it does not diagnose anything, and nothing in it should be read as a judgement about your health or as advice.

Do I need an account?

No. Signing in with Apple is optional and exists so your progress survives a lost or replaced phone; it asks for your name and email address and nothing else. Note that usage events are sent to our server once you accept the policy, whether or not you are signed in — the Privacy Policy lists exactly which fields they carry.

What does it cost, and is there a trial?

A subscription with a free trial period. The exact price and length are shown in the app before you confirm, and in the App Store.

How do I cancel?

Through your Apple subscription settings, the same place all App Store subscriptions live. Cancelling there stops the renewal and keeps your access until the paid period ends. See Support for the exact steps.
